The Common Agricultural Policy is part of the European treaties and must be protected, and the granting of higher subsidies, funds for local development and fair market access are among the priorities, PSD MEP Victor Negrescu declared on Thursday.

Thousands of European farmers gathered in Brussels on Thursday for a protest against the free trade agreement between the EU and the states of the South American bloc Mercosur.
